Thinking about your 2021 vegetable gardening journey [Free Reflection Journal]

It’s that time of the year once again when we think about all that has happened during the past year and create new plans and goals for the new year. If you have been gardening and growing vegetables in 2021, you should take the time to reflect on what happened in your garden during the past year. This includes what you enjoyed the most, what mistakes you made, and what lessons you learned from those mistakes.

My 2021 gardening journey was divided into two parts because I moved house during the middle of the year. This meant that I had a very productive first half of the year because I was using the vegetable garden that I had created over a couple of years during this time. There were quite a few productive months that I had to miss out on in the middle of the year because that was when I first moved. Then, after I had settled down I had to start my container vegetable garden from scratch. I had to look for microclimates on my balcony and decide on the best place for each plant. It was the rainy season when I first started growing plants but after a couple of months the rain stopped completely and I had to slowly get to know how much watering my plants needed.

What was your 2021 vegetable gardening journey like? What did you grow? What mistakes did you make? and most importantly, What lessons did you learn? What would you like to do differently based on what you learned this year?
